A couple of friends acquired permits to go to Havasupai. The invitation went out by Facebook. The result... a bus load of strangers set forth for an amazing adventure.
The view from the Hualapai hilltop of the trail into Havasupai. It is a 10 mile jaunt to camp.
A mile of switchbacks to start the journey. The same switchbacks will prove to be a challenge on the way out.
Happy trails...
One of many breath taking views...
Team Awesome!
Occasionally mules will disrupt the hike. You can have mules pack your supplies in and out of Havasupai for a "small" fee.
Looks promising but once at Supai village there was still another 2 miles to camp.
The rocks look like a giant Jenga
In front of the towers (at least thats what I call them)
I don't know the name of this little waterfall but its just a teaser.
Just past the village... still not there. Rock Falls... still not to camp. You can actually jump from the top of this into the water.
Beautiful Havasu Falls... getting closer
Made it.

Well deserved nap after the hike.
The water is freezing but feels great. Team Awesome posing in front of Havasu Falls Waterfalls everywhere...
Mooney Falls
After the tube, you have to use these chains as to climb down. I tried to draw in arrows to show the access tube and chains but the it didn't quite turn out.
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch
This is most of the group. There is still a handful of people back at camp.
Cave exploring. Good way to start the morning.

Pool at the bottom of Beaver Falls.
Beaver Falls One way to get to the milky blue pool below is a 60 foot cliff as Mike demonstrates.
My view everynight from my sleeping bag. The stars were amazing!
UNO!
View from the perch.
More cave exploring.
Another view from the perch. We woke up at 3:30 am to hike out via headlamps and try to beat the sun. Ya, we're pretty. First ones to arrive back at the top. It was cold and no sun to warm our bones.
Trying to warm up while waiting for the bus.
