The girls and I went to the annual Living Traditions festival today. It was a beautiful day. The festival is an event that celebrates the cultural diversity in the Salt Lake valley and has been going on for many years. My sister and I used to participate in some of the pinoy dances when we were kids. For those who are not familiar with the dance below, it is called "tinikling" in which the dancers negotiate two bamboo poles being slammed together. If memory serves me right, it is a representation of the courtship of two birds (not sure what kind). That tid bit of information will come in handy in a Trivia Pursuit game... people still play that game right?
